If you promote a brand, review whether the commercial relationship is clear.

How content could affect an opportunity
Recruiting conversations
Public content may prompt questions. Respond with the original source, its context, and accurate information. A post does not automatically establish a scholarship consequence.
Sponsor conversations
Promotional content may need clearer disclosures or a check against a specific sponsor agreement. Review the actual requirements instead of assuming a universal rule.
Public associations
A direct tag can affect what someone sees, but a friend’s behavior is not evidence of yours. Review direct mentions without grading your peer group.
Scholarship and NIL decisions depend on many factors beyond social content. AthleteAhead does not predict offer probabilities, dollar values, or eligibility.
Alcohol, drugs, and images: keep the distinction clear.
A photo, keyword, or association cannot establish substance consumption, frequency, addiction, or impairment. AthleteAhead does not make those inferences. If an athlete’s own post explicitly promotes a regulated product, the useful question is whether that promotion conflicts with a specific applicable policy or contract.
The platform does not search for faces, build biometric templates, track friends, read private messages, or infer protected or sensitive traits. Profile photos are available now for display, with separate sharing controls. They are not used for facial recognition.
Keep current requirements close.
NIL obligations depend on the athlete’s situation. The NCAA’s current guidance addresses Division I reporting and directs athletes to campus policy, state law, and their compliance office. High school athletes also need their state association and school requirements.
